2006 Show Report

This fourth edit has seen the participation of a good selection of Italian and international exhibitors', who have presented also some news in Italian Mineralogico field.

Beginning from the Liguria we signal a good finding of quartz and Epidoto of the  Sestri Levante area. Characterized by very bright little green crystals which are in contrast with the transparent and quartzes. Between the new findings to signal the Poppite first and only worldwide finding made in the Gambatesa mine. Other new findings made recently are the Scheuchzerite and the Ansermeite .

   Remaining in the Italian world to signal a few alpine sample quartz, pink Fluorites, pink Apatiti of the Val Aurina, Hessonitie Natrolite and other classic such as  the Brusson gold. A few researchers have quartzes from Carrara marble and other older  samples from the Tuscan mines

 From Sardinia the principal news was characterized by Ferrieriti in red orange balls -in association with Mordennite and Heulandite in samples of remarkable beauty. Some others classical from the island were Barite Fluorite and Ametistini quartzs of Osilo.

To finish we signal a few old samples what a remarkable crystal of Scheelite of Traversella and a Hessonite coming from the famous place of the Testa Ciarva .

A livello internazionale     era presente un buon assortimento  di minerali   rari  quali  ad es. tsumebite, iranite , congolite. Dai  paesi piu’ classici    quali Pakistan ed Afghanistan un ottima selezione di minerali gemmosi   classici accompagnata da una selezione di minerali di fessura alpina quali brookiti e soprattutto anatasi in un’ampia scelta . Molto interessanti alcuni cristalli violacei gemmosi di scapolite. Come ad ogni mostra non potevano mancare un assortimento di minerali cinesi di varia dimensione e prezzo in particolare  fluoriti verdi , quarzi e bariti , sfaleriti   ed inesiti. At international level a good assortment of rare samples was present such as. tsumebite, Iranite, Congolite From  more classical  countries like  Pakistan and Afghanistan a excellent selection of classical gem minerals and  nice from a selection of alpine fissures like  Brookiti and above all Anatasi in a wide choice. Interesting a few purple  Scapolite crystals . As in  every show could not miss an assortment of Chinese samples  of several dimension and I value in particular green Fluoriti, quartzes and Bariti, Sfaleriti and Inesiti.

From Russia and neighbouring countries some beautiful crystal of rare Alessandrite, Dioptasi with Calcite, Stellerite and Fluoriti of Dal' Nergosk in green and transparent crystals.  

In general the level of the mineral complaints was altogether very good with a wide possibility of choice for the visitors and collectors as it  was spacing from the systematic samples to aestethic ones

A mention also to the French fossils , others from Madagascar and Russians above all of the remarkable Trilobiti.

Also the Gems level was represented well with many varieties for  collection and jeweller's shop.

Obviously ........ .many others were the samples and the stands to be highlighted.
