Exhibition

As usual also in this edition inside the show  was displayed special exhibitions of  top quality specimens coming  from private collection that otherwise will be difficult to see outside the house of the owner.

In this edition the main exhibition was dedicated to minerals from Carrara Marble Quarry  due to that Carrara is in Tuscany, just outside the Liguria border; in this exhibition  was possible to see a high quality selection of specimens from Carrara Marble quarry directly from the collection of the bigger rockhounder specialized on these worldwide famous quarry; among the specimens displayed to underline same outstanding Sulvanite crystals, a Wurtzite of more than 1 centimeter, a bright and perfect Sphalerite on marble,bright sulfur, white and green dolomite, perfectly transparent quartz, among these a group of three more than four centimeters quartz crystals; attached to this exhibition a good  selection of old and more recent publication dedicated to these worldwide famous marble quarry.

Another exhibition was dedicated  to Chinese minerals, following one of the theme more frequent in this moment in European life; among the showy specimen displayed in this section same interesting  samples of Antimonite, an enormous Stibiconite single crystal, a selection of fluorite from different localities and other interesting specimens from Yaoganxian Mine.

In addition to this the mineralogical group A. Negro from Genova  has organized a very interesting stand with nice and rare micro minerals of the Liguria region, among which a fantastic sample of cariophyllite fromMolinello mine, the unique find and location in the world for this new mineral.
